Ydob On takes us to another world: the world of a Buddhist monastery, the world of the mind.
We never quite know who he is. A male, a female?
What we learn when spending time with him/her/it is that he/she/it is neither female nor male. Neither human nor beast. Neither wise nor enlightened.
This is On's first bundle, in which he declares, to us and to the world, he is "no-body".

Are there any questions?
Do not look for answers
Look for questions
Seriously!
Answers are so boring
Questions are so true
So much more revealing than answers
Questions are the answers!
Question the answers
In the questions lies the truth
The Ten Thousand Things
I weep when I see
that we can never truly meet
But soon, wetness changes into laughter
falls like sand through an open hand
to join the other things that blend
into what seems to be background
but what is, in fact, a birthing ground
where things appear when one sees what is not there
That’s why Cezanne threw a sheet over the landscape
and remembered the spaces in between
and recorded just that, shimmering
The stream of tears leads, somewhat wickedly
to the law and back, to ten thousand other things
that cannot be known nor unknown
that are woven and unravelling simultaneously
remembered and forgotten
not capable of being held, like a toddler having a tantrum
the despairing mother….
a fly on the wall deserves a sudden smile
some tea is added to the mix
of tapestries of sounds and colour
exploding warmth in the Queensland sky
that reflects the longing for the desert
Not long now!
Already missed the desert when I was still in it
sit here with nothing else to do but think
of who cannot be truly met
Wink at the fly
Now!
A loud opinion joins: Tada!
I do not care about the sea
Give me the desert anytime!
a pinch of wind
the song of wet black tyres on the road in the valley
lush and green between the ten thousand things
that tumble around, not aware that
they are parts of a surrealist painting
hidden in a dusty attic in Belgium, where they multiply
The Ten Thousand Things!
Plus all that weeping!
And weaving
judging
laughing
longing
winking
painting
sitting
drinking
smiling
thinking….
building an “I”
